The Cooley Gallery – Leesburg, VA

The Cooley Gallery, 12 S. King Street, Leesburg, VA.

On Saturday and Sunday, September 14 and 15, I spent two sunny and beautiful fall afternoons in historic Leesburg, VA, at the Cooley Gallery, owned by Washington Redskins player and pottery artist, Chris Cooley. I was among eight jewelry artisans from the region invited to participate in a showcase coinciding with the fine craft show being held in town. The main streets were cordoned off from traffic and artisans from as far away as New York and Texas came to show their beautiful work–everything from paintings to glasswork to woodwork to sculpture pieces Jewelry Show Ad Flyer to apparel–and of course, all kinds of beautiful jewelry!

Since it was a gallery event, I was able to leave my display and walk the show, enjoy the sunshine, and have lunch at a great little restaurant called Shoe’s Cup and Cork. I met new artisans and saw the results of some fantastically creative minds and a couple thousand  browsers and admirers, out enjoying the weather. All in all, a very nice weekend!
